Changing human behaviour can make a big difference in energy consumption in large factories as well as in administrative institutions.
In May we conducted a 3-day training in Prague tailored to the needs of Benteler Automotive energy coordinators of the North Eastern European Region (Scandinavia, Eastern Central Europe and Russia). The focus of the workshop was to better understand how energy management systems function and what benefits they provide as well as to provide some practical hands-on exercises of how to calculate and visualize energy savings calculated from consumption data using the Monitoring and Targeting methodology. Energy Coordinators could get to know each other better, compare their efforts and start forming a strategy for building up their energy management systém for the NEE region.
We also conducted a 3-hour training workshop for all energy managers of the Pardubice Region (first region that is ISO 50001 certified). Pardubice is the first region of the Czech Republic where the regional administration has obtained an energy management system according to ISO 50001. Strong also in preparing and implementing EPC (energy performance contracting) Projects the region’s head energy manager Mr. Milan Vich wants to further include the energy managers of the more than 100 organizations (schools, administrative buildings, hospitals etc) to strengthen the performance of the system.
